I’m genuinely disappointed with VPN Unlimited (KeepSolid). The main reason I bought it was the browser extension convenience but the extension experience has been unreliable to the point of being unusable. There are long-running user reports that the Firefox add-on can install but fails to connect to servers, effectively breaking the core promise of the product.
On top of that, the privacy posture feels inconsistent. The Chrome Web Store listing includes a privacy disclosure that the developer will not collect or use your data, which is reassuring on the surface. But KeepSolid’s own Privacy Policy describes collecting identifiers and device details (e.g., device ID, OS/version, browser type, language, time zone, app usage/version/activation/update data), and also collecting IP address and geographic location during use (even if they say the IP isn’t stored after the session). Whether you consider that normal telemetry or not, it’s still data collection and as a customer, I don’t like the mismatch between no data collected messaging and the reality of what’s described in the policy.
Finally, the refund experience is not customer-friendly. Their End User Agreement spells out that only the first payment in a recurring subscription is refundable within the window, and that subsequent recurring payments are not eligible. It also pushes refunds through third-party payment processors (Apple/Google/Amazon/Microsoft) where KeepSolid explicitly says it doesn’t control the refund process. In practice, that means you can end up bounced between parties, and the money-back expectation doesn’t feel as straightforward as it should.
Bottom line: unreliable extension, frustrating support/refund pathways, and privacy messaging that doesn’t inspire confidence. I would not recommend this service.

secure and it works, but it is unbelievably slow, I get speeds anywhere from 1Mbps to 8Mbps on most days and only 60Mbps on days when the servers are not busy, these guys don't have the bandwidth to cater for all their customers

Barely functional. Most of the time it just spins and disconnects. For multiple days it just wouldn't find a server and couldn't connect. This is the Chrome app. Even the desktop app fails to actually work half the time, with the website either detecting the use of a VPN or not detecting the country the VPN is connected to.
